My career is sexist like many others specially in what i call "the old school of teachers of piano" from chile. There are many arguments about this predilection form the men pianist, for this reason and many other i chose this artist named Martha Argerich, she is a famous pianist from argentina, she was born in 1941, considered one of the best exponents of her generation. Specially for her interpretation of the composer like Chopin, Liszt, Bach, Schumann, Ravel y Prokofiev. It's very difficult for me to describe what she has done, because she impresses me not only because she has won the most prestigious competitions of piano in the world but also because there is a beautiful aspect in her interpretation, like her touch, her imagination, etc. This woman is subjet of my admiration, her talent is exceptional but she is a example about that the women can dedicate their lifes to this career. Then the comment of the old school about "the piano is for men" is not true.
I blieve that the woman have more sensitivity for this arts, but is very interesting that she is from argentina and not from another country, like Germany, USA, Japan, etc
ResponderEliminarHi! the person that I admire is also a woman that is in a media ruled by men, but at least our generation have this role models, that this type of women didn't had so I think that it would be easier for us.
